Saturday Morning Fishing

This morning I headed out a little late. I had to get gas otherwise I wouldn't have even been able to fish. I got down to the river a little after 8am. I walked down to a newer spot where Tex had been catching some Steelhead earlier in the week. I figured the rain we had yesterday and last night would help bring up some more fish. Was I right!!! I had my first one on in a matter of minutes. I ended up losing it though. I lost 6 flies this morning and lost 13 fish. I was only about to land one fish. A 22 in female, with beautiful colors. I met some guy down there fishing with a spinning rod and let him take it home to eat. I had a great morning. It would have ben better if I could have landed some more fish and not lost 6 flies. They were hitting on egss, egg sacks and bead headed nymphs. It was a great morning. I think I will try it again tomorrow. I need to go and tie some flies now.
